Run for the Borders 2009 - CANCELLED

Post by yelrsub on Fri Jun 19, 2009 1:46 am

Sorry, folks. Due to concerns about weather in Colorado and low turnout, we are putting this one off for the time being.

We are, however, planning something else:

Weekend Drive 9/26

Is there a website for this or perhaps a NAM forum link?

This one is fast approaching. Let's get some planning going on here!! Since it's a 3 day event is there a place we all want to stay? Who's going??? It would be great to have a good showing of NMMINI at this multi-state event!!!

Unfortunately I haven't had much time to coordinate with MINI5280 on this. I shall get in touch and try to get this on track shortly.

Originally we were to stay in eastern Utah at a resort with good roads nearby.

Stay tuned...

Also an interesting option in Durango:

Iron Horse Inn
5800 North Main Avenue, Durango Colorado
$99 - $129 (might be less as we will be there off-season)

I made reservations at the Comfort Inn in Delta then read the comments on Tripadvisor. Such venom from customers is somewhat ubusual so I changed to the Rodeway Inn-probably a dump but not regarded as crooks

B-Bok,

Glad you got signed on to go. We're still going to try camping, but this last storm has apparently dumped some snow in parts of Colorado. Might be chilly!

We'll see you next week.

Cheers,
-steve
